Bio photo_edited_edited.jpg

Abi studied Mechanical Engineering with a year in industry at the University of Portsmouth, graduating in 2019. Before joining mstep she worked for two years in Bournemouth as a graduate mechanical engineer for 2 years gaining experience in the building services industry whilst working on a range of fantastic projects including the AFC Bournemouth training ground and Phase 3 of the ExCeL Exhibition Centre. At the end of 2021 she decided to move closer to home and joined mstep in March 2022.

She brings hard work and dedication to
mstep and is always keen to take on new challenges. Abi enjoys and thrives on the close collaborative working style within the mstep team and the wider project teams.

In her own words:

“Over the past few years I have been privileged to work in an industry where I can utilise both my skills and personal interests. I have always enjoyed math and science as well as being creative. Working on buildings and designing systems brings all of that together and seeing something you’ve designed come to fruition is always very rewarding.

I have always believed it is important to work in an environment where you can really voice your opinion and feel like a valued member of a team - I am grateful to have found that at
mstep.

Outside of work I enjoy calligraphy, music and binge-watching TV shows. I have been
developing my calligraphy skills over the past 5 years and find it quite therapeutic. I also have an almost 2-year-old border collie named Lincoln - he is a terror, but great fun and I spend as much time with him as I can.”
