a fabulous new conservatory was added, featuring a climate-controlled ventilation system powered by a fan coil unit and air source heat pump. This cutting-edge heating and cooling system guarantees ultimate thermal comfort while eliminating condensation risks.
mstep supported the planning application, focusing on energy consumption, sustainability, planning policies. this private residence underwent a remarkable renovation, where the client envisioned merging their apartment with the one below by adding an extension to create a spacious four-bedroom home and a separate self-contained studio flat.
working closely with the architects, mstep designed MEP systems that beautifully integrated with the structure, all while preserving the building's historical charm. the client wanted to transition from gas heating to low-carbon alternatives, and air-source heat pumps were seamlessly implemented for heating and cooling, utilizing a sleek underfloor heating system for even warmth throughout.
mechanical ventilation units with heat recovery were installed to provide fresh air to the living spaces, ensuring energy efficiency and comfort. additional heating and cooling were elegantly managed through the ventilation system, combined with a post-heating and cooling unit.
