an existing barn style building was refurbished into a new net zero energy training centre designed to teach the installation of current and future low carbon technologies. the state-of-the-art centre currently caters for photovoltaic panels (PVs), electric vehicle charging, air source heat pumps, ground source heat pump installations and hydrogen boilers as well as energy distribution and management systems.
the MEP solution was developed to ensure the spaces are serviced with the technologies that will be on offer as part of the T Level studies providing real life examples where possible.
mstep are also creating and rolling out an energy master plan with targets of zero carbon and near-zero water use for the estate as it develops in stages over the coming years.
