in a picturesque setting at the brink of a gorge in yerevan, armenia, the retail franchise imex group is transforming a former industrial site into its new, contemporary, and high-spec headquarters. collaborating closely with IDL group, mstep employed thermal modelling in line with local NZEB standards to provide guidance on the building's fabric and the optimal percentage of glazing to minimize solar gains.

mstep conducted an energy study and developed a concept design aimed at lowering energy consumption. a closed loop gshp system is proposed to implement a low carbon strategy for heating, cooling, and ventilation. despite facing structural and spatial challenges, mstep successfully devised a comprehensive heating, cooling, and ventilation plan tailored to the existing building.
