Located in the beautiful village of Denham, this private residence is undergoing an extensive remodel with the aspiration of achieving a contemporary, comfortable, high performance and low energy consuming home.

    

In collaboration with Cagni Williams Architects, mstep re-designed the MEP systems to help achieve optimal internal comfort and air quality whilst maintaining the aesthetics desired by the clients.

To ensure low energy consumption and low carbon operation, a ground source heat pump system will be installed to provide heating for hot water as well as space heating. Additionally, a building management system will be used to monitor and control the main house systems.

Internal comfort will be achieved with the use of systems including mechanical ventilation with heat recovery and underfloor heating and cooling. Fan coil units will also be utilised in high occupancy areas.
