celebrating mstep's 5th birthday in style!

on October 9th, we marked a major milestone: mstep’s 5th anniversary!

to celebrate five incredible years of growth, collaboration, and creativity, the team gathered at The Engineer, a cosy spot just a five minute walk from our studio. we were delighted to be joined by some of our wonderful clients and network friends who have supported us along the way.

the evening was filled with laughter, great conversation, and heartfelt reflections on mstep’s journey so far. a few words were shared by the team to mark the occasion, celebrating our achievements, the relationships we have built, and the exciting road ahead; summarised by sasha's speech below:

"everyone who attended has been in some way part of the journey and got us to where we are. and what made this party extra special is that some of those helping us celebrate were also there for our first birthday party! we've come a long way. that first year we earned £50,000. last year, we earned £599,000, which is not bad for a company that does everything from decarbonisation studies for little private homes up to energy strategies, masterplans, and MEP designs for just about £10million construction value. and by the end of 2025, we would have earned and spent nearly £2million. and that's not bad for a team that runs entirely on trust and flexibility.

that's the thing about mstep. we are a little bit different. we've never had a printer - in 5 years we've never printed a single piece of paper! we don't have time sheets. we believe that if you have good people and you give us the space to do what we do best, amazing things happen.

this celebration wasn't just about us turning 5. it was about everyone that made it happen. everyone that shaped us. everyone that supported us. everyone that made it possible. and all of you who've been a part of it, helping us do things our way.

our guests enjoyed a delicious selection of vegan dishes, perfectly complementing the relaxed and joyful atmosphere. tt was a night to remember. a wonderful blend of gratitude, connection, and celebration. here’s to the next five years of innovation, teamwork, and shared success!
