at mstep, we believe that building performance starts with people. that’s why we’re committed not only to low-energy systems, smart design and technical rigour, but also to nurturing the talent behind it all.
this month, we’re proud to spotlight two members of our team, abigail and yasmin, as they take meaningful steps toward their professional chartership. it’s a significant milestone in any engineer’s career, and their progress reflects the dedication, curiosity and long-term mindset we champion at mstep.

the chartership paths they’re taking
abigail is working toward chartered status with the chartered institution of building services engineers (cibse), while yasmin is on the pathway with the institution of engineering and technology (iet). both routes require a high level of technical understanding, professional judgement and reflective practice, not to mention plenty of perseverance.
from documenting project experience to demonstrating leadership, critical thinking and ethical responsibility, the journey to chartership isn’t just a badge of credibility. it’s a deep, rigorous process of growth. and abigail and yasmin are embracing it with all the energy and commitment we’ve come to expect from them.
why it matters (to them, and to us)
at mstep, we’ve always seen continuous development as central to who we are, not just a line in a policy document. we know that when our team is growing, we all benefit. chartership is one of the most meaningful ways to formalise that growth, and we’re delighted to support abigail and yasmin in reaching that goal.
but more than that, it’s a reflection of our wider culture. one that encourages curiosity, champions long-term ambition, and provides the structure and support to get there.
celebrating the journey
the road to chartership isn’t quick. it takes time, focus and resilience. but it’s also a chance to reflect on how far you’ve come, and shape where you want to go next.
we’re incredibly proud of abigail and yasmin for stepping into this next phase of their professional development with confidence, curiosity and care. their journey is their own, but it also speaks to the environment we’re building together at mstep. one where progress is shared, support is constant, and growth is something we pursue, collectively.
we’ll be cheering them on every step of the way, and we can’t wait to celebrate their achievements in full.
